Cardiology Update 2017 aims to provide expert practical insight into recent advances in the management of heart failure, stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation and anticoagulation strategies in pulmonary embolism. Expert clinicians and clinical-academics will deliver a balanced perspective on how the recently presented ESC guidelines may influence patient management.
Main objectives of the meeting include;
1- Provide independent, objective, evidence-based expert opinion on real life patient management in areas of major clinical importance
2- Discuss the practical application of the new ESC guidelines on heart failure management and stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation as well as guidelines for anticoagulation in pulmonary embolism
3- Create an interactive forum for faculty members and attendees to discuss –face to face- management issues in the following areas: heart failure, stroke prevention and pulmonary embolism.
4- Gain insight into the safe and effective utilisation of established and newer pharmacological agents for treatment of heart failure, stroke prevention and pulmonary embolism
